Position: Guest Service Agent, Front Desk at Ocean Havens
Job Summary: The Guest Service Agent is responsible for providing exceptional customer service to guests of the Inn & Marina in Boston, Massachusetts. This is a full-time, hourly position in the hospitality industry and will report to the property manager. The Guest Service Agent will work as an individual contributor and will be responsible for ensuring that all guests have a pleasant and memorable experience during their stay.
Compensation & Benefits: This is a full-time, hourly position with a competitive pay rate based on experience. Benefits available for full-time, year-round employees.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and check-in guests with a warm and friendly attitude
- Ensure accurate and efficient registration and check-out processes
- Answer and handle all incoming calls and make necessary reservations
- Respond to guest inquiries and requests in a timely and professional manner
- Maintain knowledge of company services, amenities, and local attractions to assist guests with recommendations and reservations
- Handle guest complaints and ensure timely resolution
- Process payments and maintain accurate guest accounts
- Maintain a clean and organized front desk area
- Assist with group bookings and events as needed
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure a seamless guest experience
- Provide assistance to guests with disabilities or special needs
- Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure guest satisfaction
- Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree in Hospitality or related field preferred
- Previous experience in customer service, hospitality, or a related field
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
- Knowledge of computer software systems is a plus
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays
- Must have the ability to stand for long periods of time, lift up to 20 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment
